While there are many different variations of karahi gosht found throughout Pakistan, older recipes indicates a preference for goat meat, due to its distinct flavor and fatty meat profile, making it the first choice for those in the northern regions of Pakistan. While it is a relatively dry dish with not a lot of gravy, it is generally eaten with hot naan (flatbread).
