Betzy Akersloot-Berg was a Dutch-Norwegian painter, born in Norway. She moved to The Netherlands in 1885 and married a Dutch vice-consul 1893, 42 years old. They traveled to Norway once a year for her to paint the Norwegian coast from Lindesnes to Nordkapp.
