A collection of Chinese poems and their annotation of crown prince Hyomyeong (1809-1830) who was a father of Heonjong and a crown prince of Sunjo, the 23rd king of Joseon. During the deputy rule period, crown prince Hyomyeong appointed talented people to the position, tried to realize people-oriented policy and strengthen royal authority, but died early at the age of 22. 『Hakseok-jip』 include 316 poems and three annotations that he composed before the deputy rule. He compared the poem to flower and said that as the flower blooms, when there is a feeling, there must be a poem, and thus explained the reason behind composing poems.
