Collection of Imprints of Seals of King Heonjong (studio name, Bosodang)

A book of impressions of seals stored in Bosodang of the 24th King of Joseon, Heonjong. Including the stamps used by the successive kings of Joseon, it also contains late Ming and early Qing dynasty seal engravers’ seals, reaching up to almost 600 different seals. Book one is a diagram with pictures of the seal types and writings about the pattern, material and the string, and other six books are all about the seals. Particularly, book one which illustrates the outer form of the seal is a valuable material since it show the forms and materials of the seal favored by Heonjong.
