Columbite needles in topaz

Although topazes generally tend to have a fairly clean appearance, it is not strange to find very striking solid inclusions in them, such as tourmaline, limonite, hematite, garnet, fluorite... or, as in the case of the photo, coltan (columbite tantalite), a very typical pegmatitic mineral that can show fibrous or acicular shape.
