Ongoing maintenance is required to keep locomotives in good condition for safe circulation.
In order for all the vital parts of the locomotive to move perfectly and to achieve good functioning and performance, it is necessary to ensure proper lubrication of all the train's components.
Many mechanical elements needed to be lubricated by hand requiring accurate knowledge.
Oil containers matched the different needs and different places of application. The oil cans were used for storage and to transport liquid fuels. The conical oilers, in other hand, were used to lubricate smaller and inaccessible mechanical parts of steam locomotives.
