Sign of the Companhia dos Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses (CP). The monogram first appears in 1956 on the CP2500 series electric locomotives. The most prominent use was in the blue paint scheme of the CP 1400 series diesel locomotives, placed in front of the locomotive. It was also used on the CP 1800 series locomotives, in the same blue paint scheme.
