The scene at the monument in Łazienki is detached from the modernist spirit, although it is easy to see the echoes of post-impressionism here. The means used show that the artist wanted to capture the mood, the impression of stopping time, immersing himself in music, nature and meeting. The hierarchy of characters is also inverted - the figure of a listening woman is the most marked, the pianist at the piano is in the distance. We do not know if the artist painted from nature, nor is it suggested by the characters that are not well developed in details - this makes this scene timeless, played out at any moment, still alive.
