Getulio Dornelles Vargas (1882-1954). The Labor Government of Brazil; the basic problems of the national economy. Rio de Janeiro: Livraria José Olympio Editora, 1954. 490, [4] p., il.; 24 cm.

Copy belonging to a print run of one hundred copies made on Westerledger paper and signed by the author. This one, of course, without the author's signature.

This is one of the books written by Getulio Vargas and published by Editora José Olympio, despite the fact that the government has already taken control of another publishing house, "A Noite" and published frequently there. José Olympio, known for his friendships that did not depend on political positions, ended up becoming a great friend of the director of the Press and Propaganda Department, Lourival Fontes, until his death. It was through Fontes that the editor met and came to admire Vargas, as can be seen from the letter that Nelson Werneck Sodré received from José Olympio (in 1940), in which he claimed to be a fervent Getulist.
