Daguerreotype case from the photographic studio of Benjamin Franklin Pease (New York, 1822 – Pisco, 1888), who arrived to Lima in 1852 and was the first permanent daguerreotypist to settle in the city.
The daguerreotype is the product of a photographic process to capture images, where a copper plate was prepared with copper vapors, bromine and chlorine, and later developed with mercury and thiosulfate.
