Definitive royal provision of nobility in favor of Luis Pérez, resident of Fuente de Cantos (Badajoz).

The only regulated procedures to acquire nobility both in terms of title and property were through legal action in the form of either a provisional case, presenting evidence for a permanent record of the matter, or auxiliary provisions. Nobility cases could be heard by 3 authorities depending on the category of the appeal: first, before the Courtroom of Noblemen; then, before the “Oidores” judges; and finally, before the same judges but in review. In every case, the process began and ended in the Chancery. Any action that proceeded to the Courtroom of Noblemen concluded with a definitive royal provision of nobility that included the final judgment. Royal Audience and Chancery of Ciudad Real.
