Delivering Meal to the Farm

Delivering Meal to the Farm (送饭到田间) is a representative work of Zhang Yangxi’s later style. This piece of art uniquely reflected the busyness of Chinese agricultural production in 1950s. The artist absorbed essence of ancient Chinese art, especially the carving stones in Han Dynasty. Seven people with different look constitute the main content of the picture. The work was created in sample and lyrical way, showing a brand new life in Chinese villages, which is also full of Chinese characteristics.
