The flooring of the Duomo's naves was designed by Pellegrino Tibaldi in the second half of the 16th century. The geometric-floral pattern that is repeated in a staggered way is made using three types of stone: Candoglia marble with its grey-pink tones, red Arzo marble, and black marble from Varenna.
