Devotional majolica panel

Quadrangular devotional mural tile, arranged in rhombus, bears a representation of the standing Madonna of Sorrows, pierced by a dagger. The work appears circumscribed, in the terminal part, by a frame of straw yellow color, bounded by two thin lines in brown manganese, under the date 1857. The figure of the Madonna Addolorata, rather unusual in the devotional representations made by Burgio.
