One of the most fascinating finds of the German Tendaguru expedition is the almost complete skeleton of Dicraeosaurus hansemanni. These sauropods are amongst the largest animals that ever lived on land. Various skeletal idiosyncrasies suggest that Dicraeosaurus is closely related to Diplodocus.
