Bottom of an indeterminate Italic terra sigillata plate, made with a hard paste, very well refined and of an intense pink color. The coating is sticky and dense, quite opaque, of very good quality and medium gloss, with a dark brownish red color.
Inside the piece, in a central position, you can see the impression of the PHERT brand. It is written in capital letters, large and fine, very careful, with the letter "T" taller than the others; It has the PHE ligature preserving the interpuncture between "PH" and "E". The letters are framed in a rectangular stamp measuring 1.1 x 1.35 cm, decorated on its smaller sides with double volutes that extend to the slightly rounded corners of the stamp.
The name of this seal refers to the potter P. Hertorius, from Arezzo, who usually uses this form of cartouche with varied ornaments framing the inscription. He signs this company seal with the duo nomina (praenomen and demonym), a formula that is generally earlier in time than that of the isolated cognomen (Hertorius) of which other specimens are found in Caesaraugusta. Due to the context of its discovery, it can be dated between 10 BC. and the change of Era.
