Dobles Velos (Double veils)

This project recalls the ghostly, the absent and fragmented body. The surface of the veil, at the same time textile and skin, is mobile. It hides and reveals at the same time, jeopardizing the concept of identity and creating a tension between in an out. Veils sliding and showing other skin, in an infinite game of revelations. The screen is another veil, poetic speech related to the concept of work, since the spectral aspect of the digital devices appears, as they are always like an absence-presence. The movements of the camera emphasize the dissolution of the border. The juxtaposition of layers covers and reveals, exposing the body in fragments. It includes these layers of meaning from the digital field. “Layers” also present in the 3D sculpture that hangs in front of the screens. To unveil is a movement of the veil, a place of the event without gender or face, that produces an unsettling image that unveils the secret of the artwork.
