Although most collectors prefer Lenci dolls made in the 1920s and early 1930s when the Scavini family owned the firm, Lenci continued manufacturing dolls after the Garella family took over the company in1933. The Garella family continued doll manufacturing until 2002 when Lenci ceased making dolls forever. Most of the Lenci dolls in the National Museum of Play date from the 1920s and 1930s.
