Dorasan Station, which is located on the South Limit Line of the Civilian Control Line, is the northernmost station of South Korea’s Gyeongui Line in Dorasan-ri, Gunnae-myeon, Paju-si. After the agreement to re-connect the Gyeongui Line at the historic Inter-Korean Summit Talks held in June 2000, construction work connecting Munsan in the South with Gaeseong in the North began in September 2000. The plan involved restoring the railway in the applicable areas and then building the railroad in the DMZ. The construction of Dorasan Station to connect the 4km-section of line to the Imjingang River was begun on April 11, 2002 and completed in April of the same year.
