Machine tool for roughing, turning, facing, cutting and threading. The turning of the workpiece is done by combining the rotational movement of the spindle, where the workpiece is fixed and the forward movement of the cutting tool happens.
Originally, this machine could have been belonged to the Mirandela Workshop Complex (Companhia Nacional). The date of its introduction is unknown, but in 1915 this workshop was probably equipped with machines and tools that would allow it to carry out maintenance and repair of the rolling stock and the construction or assembly of vans and new vehicles with great autonomy.
