By approaching the lens on the work “The Great Glass”, executed by Marcel Duchamp, the photographer captured the accumulation of dust on the surface and on the remains of debris, giving the impression that it was an aerial view of a gloomy and mysterious plain. In 1922 the photograph was published in the French surrealist magazine “Littérature”, with the caption: “This is the domain of Rrose Sélavy (Duchamp alter ego). How arid he is. How fertile he is. How cheerful he is. How sad he is ”.
