A Dutch Delft Porceleyne Claeuw (1763-1806) tea caddy that is decorated in blue and white using the typical Chinese decorative designs incorporated by the company. The female figure on the tea caddy is that of one of the Twelve Beauties of Jinling from classical Chinese Literature. The magpie is a symbol of good luck or joy.
