Elephant beetle (Megasoma elephas)

The elephant bettle is a famous super-heavy bettle with a long trunk-like horn on the head. Its big eyes and heavy body covered with golden villus make people feel very lovely. Larvae take 18 to 28 months to develop into adults, and the life span of adults is nearly one year.
