Club based in Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira Island, Azores. It was founded on June 22, 1922, receiving the name of the plane "Lusitânia", in honor of the transatlantic crossing of Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral. The club has always been at the forefront of Azorean sport, where it exerted almost absolute dominance for three quarters of the century. In football, it has 5 titles of national champion of the 3rd division (times 1996-1997, 1998-1999, 2000-2001, 2005-2006 and 2011-2012). Lusitania has always been an eclectic club, having practiced throughout its existence the most popular modalities in our country, such as athletics, cycling, handball, futsal, roller hockey, currently maintains football, basketball and futsal.
