Club based in Angra do Heroísmo, on Terceira Island, Azores. It was founded on June 22, 1922, named after the plane "Lusitânia", in honor of the transatlantic crossing of Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral. The club has always been at the forefront of Azorean sport, where it exercised almost absolute dominance for three quarters of a century. In football, he has 5 National Champion titles in the 3rd division (seasons 1996-1997, 1998-1999, 2000-2001, 2005-2006 and 2011-2012). Lusitânia has always been an eclectic Club, having practiced the most popular sports in our country throughout its existence, such as Athletics, Cycling, Handball, Futsal, Roller Hockey. Currently, it only maintains football, basketball and futsal.
