Seksaria Building: Entrance gate

Entrance gate of Seksaria building, an Art Deco apartment building situated on Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose Road along Marine Drive. This magnificent family home was built by Govindram Seksaria, once the 'Cotton King of the World'. Entrance gates featuring Deco inspired grill design, further highlights the interplay between indoor and outdoor spaces evident in the overall building design. Also note the geometric cement lamps on either sides of the metal gate.

This building is a part of 'The Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai', a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was inscribed to the list on June 30, 2018.
