- Description: I remember the first photograph I took of a plant, fourteen years ago. It was tiny, its yellow stood out from the dry green grass surrounding it. At the time I was in search of large tracts of land to shoot, but something struck me in that detail so tiny that stood out of the grass. I never painted because of its striking colour. Years later I discovered Doñana. It was an ecstasy. Seas of sand and brush in between. Neutral colours ideal for my painting. Finally I went back to the area where I have the most memories from my childhood, the Ventorrillo and the Bardena where I appreciated and identified with the needle grass and the bushes in the middle of nowhere. - Descripción: Recuerdo la primera fotografía que hice de una planta, hace catorce años. Era diminuta, su color amarillo destacaba sobre el verde seco de la hierba que la rodeaba. Por entonces iba en busca de grandes extensiones de terreno para fotografiar , pero algo me llamó la atención en aquel detalle tan diminuto que sobresalía de la hierba. Nunca la pinté por su color tan llamativo. Años más tarde descubrí Doñana. Fue un éxtasis. Mares de arena y matorrales por medio. Colores neutros ideales para mi pintura. Finalmente volví a la zona donde más recuerdos tengo de mi infancia, el Ventorrillo y la Bardena donde aprecié y me identifiqué con los espartos y los matorrales en medio de la nada.
