For more than 2,000 Jews from Northern Bavaria, the Märzfeld rail station was the last stop before deportation to the extermination camps. From 1937 onward, the station had actually been set up to handle arriving and departing participants at the Party Rallies. Each year from 1933 to 1938, thousands came to Nuremberg to participate in the National Socialists' propaganda spectacles.
