Exlibris of María Wiesse (Lima, 1894 - 1964), Peruvian writer, essayist and cultural disseminator. She was a regular contributor to Amauta magazine, where her film reviews were published.
The word "ex libris" is a Latin locution that can be translated as "from among the books" (RAE, 2021). These are labels or marks attached to a bibliographic asset in order to establish a sense of ownership. Its form or content displays a symbolic charge that allows knowing aspects of its collectors, such as interests, affinities, trajectory and life history.
