Exlibris of Raúl Porras Barrenechea (Pisco, 1897 - Lima, 1960), a prominent Peruvian diplomat and historian. In particular, this bookplate is in the collection of the same author.
Observing the image, we can notice the line that focuses on one of the corners of the Patio de Letras de la Casona of the National Autonomous University of San Marcos, adding the tower or bell tower of the old Church of San Carlos: Likewise, the second Coat of arms of San Marcos, with a bordered inscription: Academia S. Marci Vrbis Regvm in Perv (Academy of San Marcos de la Ciudad de los Reyes in Peru). At the top, on a second level, Porras places the phrase: Fugit irreparabile tempus (Time flees irreparably).
