Extatosoma popa

Extatosoma popa is known as "the ugliest insect in the world" as it mimics dead leaves and moves slowly, and its head looks like those of the zombies in "Plants vs. Zombies". Its egg mimics the shape of plant seed and has a handle-like protuberance on it that can attract ants to carry it back to the nest. It hatches in the ant nest after 5-6 months. The larva can imitate an ant and run fast. Our museum has completed more than 10 generations of artificial breeding.
