Large fan with a leaf of double-sided vellum. On the front is a floral motif painted in gouache. The name "María" is written on the top and features a duke's crown. On the reverse side are verses by Cavestany, dated January 1891, dedicated to the Duchess of Tarifa. The gorge has wavy ribs. The rosette and ring are made of tortoiseshell. The ring has ivory-coloured latticework.
