The Fergana Valley, on the Eastern limits of Uzbekistan, was one of the main outposts on the Silk Road, connecting Xian, on China, to Central Asia and the West. The horses from that region were esteemed for their potency and resilience, reflected on its representation on the tomb statuary of Tang dynasty, the one that used to ride horses the most.
