This is the first page of a manuscript responsorial choir book that would have been used by a Catholic church in Spain for Catholic feasts, including Christmas and the Feast of the Crown of Thorns.

It is particularly remarkable as it is believed to have one of the earliest extant illustrations of American fauna to appear in Europe, with the illustration of a turkey in the bottom left of the page.
