The First West Australian team to compete in The All Australian Women's Cricket Carnival held in Melbourne on the 10-17 January,1948. The side featured Western Australia's first Aboriginal State women cricketer Jessie Boddington. Although the team lead by Olive Leslie did not win a match, vice-captain and wicketkeeper Flo Ireland was chosen in the Australian squad to tour New Zealand.
