Flag of Torino, capital of the Po Department, directly annexed to France. In 1801 Piedmont became the 27th French Military Division. The structure did not take into consideration subdivisions and previously independent areas, and was organized in six Departments. The Po Department had its headquarters in Palazzo Carignano.
