Colour illustration of a Fringe Crested Cockatoo (Psittacus fimbriatus, also commonly called a "Gang-gang Cockatoo") by naturalist Thomas Davies, interleaved in 'The narrative of a voyage of discovery'.

This is the first European description and illustration of this species, and was created from a specimen sent from Churchill Island in 1801 by James Grant during his survey of Western Port, in the Lady Nelson.
