Between the elements that conform the traditional clothing of rural woman from the Boyacá region, pieces like the hat made with the traditional technique of tapia pisada with natural fibers from palm trees, the blouse comes from Spanish influences, varies based on age and its commonly white with some details in lace; sometime younger woman would wear colorful blouses, usually woman would make their own blouses. Skirts in rural Boyacá are also made in house with affordable clothes and are dyed by hand in the house, black in the most common color for blouses, but they are also ornamented with some small details on sequins.
