GANAPATHI: Ganapathi is the deity who is responsible for the removal of obstacles.

This print by the Ravi Varma Press derived from a painting by Raja Ravi Varma probably followed the iconographic description of Ganapathi in the Kshipra-prasada-ganapathi form. In this form, Ganapathi is described as being of a pale red hue. He has three eyes and four hands. In his hands are the noose (pasha), goad (ankusha), his broken tusk and a pomegranate fruit in his trunk. In this form, Ganapathi is described as the storm which drives away the clouds of obstacles.
