Inaugurated officially on 11 September 2022 by Her Excellency First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame. The Garden of Memory located at Nyanza Genocide Memorial in Kicukiro District was conceived by IBUKA Association and Bruce Clarke, a visual artist.
The garden symbolises life, rebirth after a Genocide, and the protection offered by nature during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
