The geisha from Edo wears a kimono with splashed patterns, kimono belt hanging down, her hair tied up in a Shimada coiffure. Compared to the geisha from Kyoto, the geisha from Edo leaves a more refreshing impression. The two scrolls each position the whole figure in the frame with a plain background, so the glamorousness of both beauties leaps out at us.
