The most famous Chitrali dish, used as a side as well as a strong breakfast option, is called Ghallmandi. Ghallmandi consists of two thin crepe-like rotis which are filled with a heavy mixture of cottage cheese made with the addition of milk and dried coriander.Cheera Shapik and Muxi are two other dishes that use the same method of rich filling between two thin rotis. The former uses a finely cooked mixture of flour and milk as a paste, while the latter utilizes a cumin and mint infused yogurt as a subtle stuffing in between. All of these dishes are then generously soaked with either hot walnut oil or homemade desi ghee as per preference
