Grandma stands reverently, holding a rosary (cross hanging to the ground). Grandma is all squeezed, hunched, wearing a scarf whose fringe go all over the statue, carved as braided ropes, spindle forms. She is wearing high boots.
Mato Generalic was born October 7, 1920 in Hlebine. Brother of Ivan Generalic. He was a farmer who devoted himself to sculpture since 1950. The development of realistic reveals his affinity with the pre-war works of his brother Ivan. His first exhibition was in Hlebine in 1965. He died in Zagreb in 1985.
