These two photographs were taken at Moruya Quarry where the granite was mined and prepared for the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Moruya Granite was known for its quality and the quarry also provided easy transportation with its location next to the Moruya River, as boats could be used to move the granite. The photographer was probably Henri Mallard.
