More than 3 200 years ago, in the modern urban district Poppenbüttel a man was buried in an impressive barrow, according to his eminent social status. Part of his valuable grave goods for a life in the world beyond is a bronze razor with a handle in the shape of a horse head. The slightly curving form of the razor can be interpreted as a boat with the horse head as the stern pertaining to it.
