Handwritten letter by Dámaso Alonso in which he asks the archivist De la Torre for information on José Pérez Rivas, a 16th century poet from Cordoba. Amelia de Paz goes on to say: “Of the great assistance José de la Torre gave Don Dámaso in a variety of his projects […] this is shown in the correspondence kept between them: “As the leading expert in this period of Cordoban history, could you provide me with any information? I would be very grateful,” was the usual mantra. José de la Torre, the indefatigable source for begging scholars.”
