Martin Kopričanec was born December 2, 1943 in Molve, in Podravina. He attended lementary school in Molve. He liked to draw and paint in watercolor pencil and ink and pastel from an early age. While still at elementary school he took part in the exhibition of paintings in Zagreb. In 1966 he started painting on glass in an original way. In 1968 he exhibited for the first time in Djurdjevac (small town near Koprivnica). He lives and works in Molve.
