The subject of the man riding his horse has been one of the most researched iconographic themes by Venanzo Crocetti: the first artworks are from 1967 but it’s research kept developing during the following decade until arriving to the development of the project of the “Il Giovane Cavaliere della Pace” monument which has been exposed in different continents back in 1989 in occasion of the 47th anniversary of the drop of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. More than 20 years before, this small sculpture has in itself the formal values that will be later developed by the abruzzi sculptor for his artistic peace world tour.
