Anna Grigorievna (1773–1846) was the second wife of Prince Alexander. The daughter of Catherine the Great’s private secretary, she was also heir to an immense industrial fortune built by her maternal grandfather, Ivan Semenovich Miasnikov (1710–1780). Miasnikov was one of the pioneers of iron industry in Siberia, who owned fifteen factories with his brother. The verso includes a checkered weave of the princess’s hair and her initial A inscribed on a small square ivory panel in the center.
