This picture depicts important events in Confucius’ life based on 「Gongjasega」 of 『Sagi』. Ever since the neo-Confucianism has become a state ideology with the advent of Song dynasty, this book was published to support the ideology and spread it. From Song dynasty to Ming dynasty, it was published in different editions such as colored version, woodblock printing, stone carving, etc. Jangseogak holds the woodblock printing on which Jo Byeongsik of Yangju wrote a preface in September 1904 (Gwangmu 4). The preface claims that a 108 width key plate has been used for this copy which Gong Jaehun, a 76th descendant of Confucius, has gained from Yeonghaebu.
